We are the Pupils of Pentland Primary School!

We are the Pupils of Pentland Primary School. We love our school, our teachers and our lessons. We work hard and try our best to follow our school motto to "be the best we can be!". Please spend some time exploring our page and find out more about us and our school.

Here are two surveys of pupils' views too.

Our lessons

Every morning at School, we have Literacy and Maths. It is really important to concentrate well in these lessons and ask for help if you don't understand.

On an afternoon, we have a variety of lessons such as: Art, PE, Science, Geography, History, PSHE, RE, French and Music.

How we learn

We learn in lots of different ways and our teachers help us to learn new things.

We like to learn by playing games and often have fun whilst we are learning.  Some times we work in groups and we need to make sure that everyone has a role and is contributing. At times, we work in pairs and use our coaching skills to support eachother. Some times our teachers ask us to work independently to see if we have achieved our learning objective.

Pupil Voice

We walked around School and asked our fellow pupils from Nursery up to Year 6 to discuss their favourite parts of being a pupil at Pentland. Here is what they said:

"I like reading club because I like seeing my teacher smile!" Hannah Stephens, Year 6.

"My favorite lesson is ICT because i like going on the computers," Jaiden Harrison, Year 3/4.

"I like making towers with my friends," Joseph Chambers, Reception.

"I like reading club because it helps me with my learning towards my SATs. The more reading I do, the more intelligent I get!" Macy Johnson, Year 6.

"I like playing in the sand because I like building castles." Martha Rose, Nursery.

"I like Maths because I like measuring things." Zara Price, Year 1/2.
