Welcome to Class Sheffield

Our Topic

Our topic for Spring term 2 is Muck, Mess and Mixtures!

We had a fantastic morning in our literacy sets exploring lots of different messy mixtures! We even had a go at making our own slime! Please have a look at our photographs below.

Important Information

Class Sheffield have P.E. on a Monday and Thursday afternoon - please make sure your child has a full P.E. kit with t-shirt, shorts and plimsolls. P.E. kits will be sent home each term to be washed.

Children will need to bring their reading book and planner each day in a book bag. We expect children to read at home at least 3 times a week and have their planner signed. If children do not do this they will lose some of their golden time on Friday to complete their reading.

Please make sure all clothing is labelled.

Our Work

As part of our topic work we have been trying foods from around the world.

We tried pesto, mango chutney, guacamole, grapefruit, kiwi, pepper and poppadoms. Have a look at our reactions in the photographs below!

Each half term we send out a homework grid with different activities for the children to complete at home. Each activity is worth a number of points and children should aim to collect 12 points per half term. At the end of the half term children submit their homework for marking and recieve a homework treat if the points have been achieved. We appreciate that as parents you are very busy and if you have any concerns or difficulties completing homework please speak to your class teacher who will arrange for your child to attend lunchtime homework club.
