Welcome to class Saltburn Pier!

Our first week in Saltburn Pier

The children in class Saltburn Pier have been learning all about the  jewel in Saltburn,  the glorious Victorian pier. We discussed the history of the pier and compared images of the pier in the past with how the pier looks today. The children in years 1 and 2  watched a video which showed the fantastic views you get from the water - powered cliff lift. This is one of the world's oldest water-powered systems, and a must for any visitor to the town.

A great start to the year!

All the children in class Saltburn have come back eager and keen to learn. Their behaviour has also been exceptional and I know we have an exciting year ahead of us. By now you should have received your child's P.E days and dates for your diary. Please see below for a reminder of these dates

                                                                       Dates for your diary!

Reading

Reading is an important part of the school curriculum and big focus in school this year.

It is expected that your child reads at least three times a week minimum. Please ensure that you ask your child questions about what they have read to deepen their understanding and ensure an adult signs their planner every time they read. Each time your child has read, they will be put into a prize draw which will be drawn every week in class.
